| CANADA RELAXES SOMEMORTGAGE RULES!
Starting Dec 15, insured mortgages can go up to $1.5M (up from $1M). This will allow more buyers to purchase a home with a down payment of below 20%. In addition, purchasers who are first-time home buyers or buyers of newly built homes may have access to 30-year amortization on their mortgages. These measures are meant to make buying easier and incentivize more new housing construction. |
